Finacea Medication - Uses & Side EffectsGeneric Name: Azelaic acid AZELAIC ACID (Azelex™, Finacea®, Finevin®) is used to treat mild to moderate acne or rosacea on the skin and generally other skin conditions. Generic azelaic acid skin creams or gels are not yet available. Finacea (azelaic acid 15%) is a topical gel indicated for the treatment of inflammatory papules and pustules of mild to moderate rosacea. The gel formulation of Finacea provides improved drug penetration compared with the cream formulation. Drug Interaction :- If you are using Finacea drugs then do not use any other drug without talking to your doctor, because drug interactions can result in unwanted side effects or prevent a medicine from doing its job. Avoid use of skin care products that may cause further irritation (e.g., cleansers that contain alcohol, tinctures, astringents, abrasives and peeling agents). OverdoseIf you feel the overdose is suspected then contact to your doctor immediately. An overdose is unlikely. However, if your skin becomes severely irritated, you should stop applying Finacea and call your doctor. |
