Diabetes Causes, Types and Symptoms

Diabetes affects our body in many ways. Basically it affects the way our body handles and processes all the nutrients like carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals and so on. Neglecting or living with diabetes can be very dangerous and fatal for anybody. In diabetes, a hormone called insulin which controls the content of sugar in the bloodstream is not secreted or secreted in very less amounts. This in turn results in high content of sugar in the bloodstream causing a person to be diabetic. Insulin is basically a hormone secreted by the pancreas which often controls the eating habit of a person.

Some common symptoms of diabetes according to diabetes information are listed as excessive urination, excessive thirst and hunger, blurred vision, sudden weight loss, delay in healing of wounds, dry and itchy skin, repeated infections, fatigue and headache. These diabetic symptoms may occur one by one, all at a time or some of them may or may not occur depending upon the intensity of diabetes in a person. There are two types of diabetes. Type I diabetes caused by less or no secretion of insulin by the pancreas and Type II diabetes caused due to resistive body tissues towards insulin because of old age.
